Liverpool are in Hong Kong for a series of friendly games in Asia before the start of the new Premier and Champions League season, and Jurgen Klopp talked to reporters about all things Red, focusing though on two players he and the team missed last season.
Daniel has been able to be part of the full pre-season so far, which is a very important thing and not just good for him
the German manager said about Daniel Sturridge.
Every thing we have done so far has been intense and he has been pretty much involved in every session. It’s the best condition since I’m here. OK, I came in October 2015 and Daniel, I think, was probably injured then
Klopp also said, keeping his fingers crossed the 27-year-old will finally have an injury-free season at Liverpool.
He’s ready, he needs games and rhythm because that’s what he missed most in the last few months
the Liverpool manager then said about Jordan Henderson.
It’s very good for him that we have another two-three weeks before we really get going. We’ll give him as many minutes as possible and as many minutes that makes sense for him so we don’t overload him
Klopp added, knowing that Henderson can really have an impact on Liverpool if he stays healthy and fit.
