CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke and sporting director Michael Zorc came under fire following the news, with some Dortmund fans and reporters doubting they are the right people to help the club up their level and compete with Bayern.
Matthias Ginter also attracted some criticism, after a local newspaper WAZ reported that he had been a vocal critic of Tuchel in the dressing room.
The Germany international made sure to take to Facebook and deny what was mentioned in the report, claiming that he always thought very highly of his former coach.
