  1. Even though the show is called Doctor Who (the BBC prefers the full expansion to “Dr.”) the main character is called The Doctor. The only time the show uses the phrase “Doctor Who” is when the protagonist is introduced as “The Doctor” and someone goes “Doctor… who?”
