Draw No Bet
No one likes to lose their stake money because of a draw. It’s one of the few downsides associated with football betting but the draw no bet market takes away the risk. If you back Spain to beat Belgium in the full time results market and the game ends in a draw, you lose your stake. With the draw no bet market, however, the draw means your stake is returned, meaning you lose nothing and have funds in your betting account should you wish to bet on another game. Each Way Bet
Each way betting can be used in a number of markets, including the first goal scorer list. If you back Harry Kane to score first as a straight bet and he scores second, you lose your stake. If you back the Tottenham striker to score first each way, however, you’ll be paid out. Standard each way terms are 1/4 the odds a place 1-2-3 on most markets. When placing an each way bet, however, please be advised you must double your stake, one half on the win part of the bet and the other on the place part of the wager.
Both Teams to Score
The both teams to score market has grown in popularity in recent times and has become a real favourite with sports bettors. This is a straight yes or no question. Will both teams involved in one match find the net or not? This type of bet can be placed as a single but works best in multiples.
Handicap
Fancy the favourite in the full time results market to win at a canter or the underdog to remain competitive? The handicap betting usually offers backers a much better price. An example of a handicap bet could be used in a Italy v Portugal bet. If Italy are favourites you may find bookmakers offering Italy -1 goal on the handicap, Portugal +1 goal on the handicap and, of course, the handicap draw. If you were to back Italy -1 on the handicap you’d need them to win by, at least, two clear goals to see your wager paid out for a profit. An interesting take on the Euro 2020 types of bets.
Total Goals
Another of the Euro 2020 types of bets you should be made aware of if trying to beat the bookies. This is a bet that challenges punters to predict the total number of goals one match will produce. You can aim high and play the exact number of goals market but the total goals gives you a better chance of landing a winner. The line can be set at anything from 0.5 goals upwards, but the most popular is over/under 2.5 goals. This may sound complicated but it’s really quite simple. Penalty to be Awarded
One sure to be found buried deep in the specials markets but it is a gem well worth digging up. A straight question that requires a straight answer. Will there be a penalty awarded at anytime during the 90 minutes plus stoppage time? It doesn’t matter for which team, why or even if it’s scored or not. As long as the referee awards a penalty your bet will be paid out as a winner. Please note that due to the inclusion of VAR, a penalty could be awarded and then rescinded. Multiple Bet
