Juan Jesus, Roma’s Brazilian center-back, talked to Porto Alegre-based Radio Atlantida, and he revealed something very interesting.
Before Roma-Genoa, we all got together in the dressing room and he said, ‘if I get a penalty, I won’t score it, I’ll kick the ball into the Curva
the 25-year-old defender said, talking about Francesco Totti, and his last game wearing Roma’s jersey. As for ‘Curva’, he meant Curva Sud, the part of Stadio Olimpico’s stands which the most vocal fans of the Giallorossi occupy.
There wasn’t a penalty, so, instead, he sent an autographed ball into the Curva after the game
Juan Jesus also said, before praising his former teammate not only as a player, but mostly as a caring individual.
Totti is a fantastic person and he deserves far more than just that party. He’s somebody who helps those in need a lot, without anybody needing to know about it
the Brazilian said. Last, he repeated something that many have said before, about how many more titles Totti would have won if he had chosen to leave Roma.
We’re honoured to have played alongside him in this, his final season with Roma. He could have won a lot at other clubs because there are technically few around in the world like him
Juan Jesus told the radio station of Porto Alegre.
