Despite having had a mediocre, by their standards, season, Arsenal are still hoping to win a title, and Arsene Wenger doesn’t want to talk about anything else right now, but their upcoming FA Cup semifinal against Manchester City.
We can deny that story at the moment. Nothing’s been concluded with anybody. I think it’s important we don’t talk about transfers but about the semifinal of the FA Cup
the Arsenal manager replied in a Press conference, when asked about Sead Kolasinac, and how close is Schalke’s full-back to joining the Gunners, as suggested by various reports.
I think we are focused, highly motivated, maybe not at the maximum of our confidence but it’s a good opportunity to show how much we want to go to the final because it may be our only chance for a trophy this season
the Frenchman also said, insisting that all that matters at the moment is the FA Cup semifinal. As for how influenced the team may be by the uncertainty over his own future at the club, Wenger seemed confident that
it doesn’t play any part. It’s a very important game for me because it’s the next game and an opportunity to win a trophy. We are all fully focused on that. My future is Sunday.
