If your life is anything like mine, keeping up with the world of soccer while working, commuting, heading out with the kids and running errands is quite a challenge. Those of us soccer fanatics who follow leagues around the world and don’t live in countries saturated with soccer (like the United States) have become used to following everything online.
In the past, this meant seeking out and bookmarking multiple websites to keep up with scores, league standings and fixtures. Now, apps like SofaScore make it a piece of cake, wherever in the world you are.
Below you can see how easy it is to follow scores using the SofaScore Android app.
Beyond Android, you can also download SofaScore for iPhone and Windows Phone.
And one really nifty feature – beyond my technological prowess, but still pretty awesome – is that you can even follow along the scores on your Android watch.
While I’m a soccer-only junkie (OK, maybe a little bit of cricket when England does well!), if you follow the NBA or many other sports, you can get the latest scores from other sports around the world as well.
What’s nice is that you can “pin” your favorite leagues to the top of the app when you open it, so you can follow those you are really interested in easily, while browsing through other scores as you want.
For fans of American soccer, you’ll be pleased to learn that the app doesn’t stop at Major League Soccer – the North American Soccer League (division two in the US) and even the US Open Cup, one of the oldest knockout tournaments in the world, are featured in the app.
Favorite teams can also be added, including notifications delivered to you on latest scores. All you need to do is hit the “star” icon by a team to follow them.
This speaks to one of the nicest features about SofaScore – its fluid, attractive and easy to user interface. It is never a struggle to navigate and both keep up with your favorite teams/leagues while also being able to browse through the entire world of soccer. So next time you’re at a wedding when you’d rather be watching your team, you can easily keep up with the score using this app!
