Getting seriously injured in your twenties or even early thirties leaves you with more than enough time to recover and restart your career. Suffering a similarly serious injury at your 35 is a whole different ball game, one that could lead to the end of your career, but not if you’re Zlatan Ibrahimovic, apparently.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has undergone successful knee surgery. He will make a full recovery AND HAS NOT SUFFERED A CAREER-ENDING INJURY
read a statement issued my Mino Riola, the agent of the former Sweden international, using capital letters to emphasize as much as it gets on his belief that his client will play professional football again.
The procedure was performed by Freddie Fu, M.D., and Volker Musahl, M.D., of the UPMC Sports Medicine program in Pittsburgh. Zlatan has started rehabilitation at UPMC and will remain under the care of Dr. Fu and Dr. Musahl throughout his recovery
the statement also read, with Raiola adding that “Zlatan and the medical team are not available for interviews at this time”.
Ibrahimovic got injured during Manchester United’s home game against Anderlecht, and is expected to stay sidelined for about nine months.
