He has been having a great season at Nice, he could play Champions League football next season with the Ligue 1 side, and according to one of his former coaches he could even be the world’s best player, if only he really wanted to.
If Balotelli made a priority of his professional life, then he has no rivals. He’s got incredible potential, but probably he just does not have the objective of becoming the best in the world
Cesare Prandelli told Radio Sportiva. The former Italy coach managed to work well with Mario Balotelli in their national team that reached the final in Euro 2012.
I still think he can do extraordinary things. Time is still on his side
the Italian coach added, seeing the former Inter, Manchester City, and AC Milan striker perform very well at Nice, having scored 14 goals so far in this season’s Ligue 1, and having played a major role in Nice’s third position in the table, which gives them hope of Champions League football for next season.
Balotelli scored the first of Nice’s three goals on Sunday against PSG, their 3-1 win pushed them just three points behind the Paris side, and their objective is to finish above them, so as to earn automatically the right to play in Champions League’s group stage, instead of having to go through the… dangerous play-offs.
