Barcelona’s fourth goal in stoppage time at Los Carmenes didn’t make much difference, they were already 1-3 up and seconds were left until the final whistle, but it was a historic one nonetheless, since it’s not every day that a player scores his 100th goal for a club.
A month after surpassing fellow Brazilian Ronaldinho, who finished his career at Barcelona having scored 94 times in all competitions, Neymar reached another milestone, netting his goal number 100.
The Blaugrana number 11 became just the third Brazilian in Barcelona’s history to reach that milestone, after Rivaldo and Evaristo, who found the back of the net 130 and 105 times respectively, wearing the Catalan club’s jersey.
He has numbers that show he is a beast of a footballer. He is one of the toughest players to guard and his signing by this club was a great decision. I hope he scores another 900 goals, so we can keep seeing him at Barcelona for many more years
his coach Luis Enrique said in the Press conference right after the game at Granada.
It took Neymar 177 games and less than four full seasons to reach those 100 goals.
