Betting markets: 3/5

There is a strong football offering on the site which is good for beautiful game punters, although one thing the Netbet review has thrown up is that there is a heavy reliance on the sport. Other markets are not so comprehensive, though major events across horse racing, tennis, golf and more are all covered.

A 50% accumulator boost, £30,000 Golden Goal competition and more are offered to members via the main site in order to boost potential profits.

Netbet Odds: 4/5

Across their range of markets, especially football, Netbet’s prices don’t necessarily knock others into the water but remain very competitive. Their margins are more or less in line with all of their competitors and so you won’t be ripped off by using this service.

Their 50% acca boost though has the ability to propel them above some of the other sites, the more selections you make the bigger bonus you get. 3 selections means a 3% bonus on winnings, 4 selections means 5% and then there is a sliding scale all the way up to 13+ selections at 50%.

Mobile app: 4/5

Netbet’s apps can be downloaded from iTunes or Google Play and a choice of all three apps will appear.

The Netbet sports app is versatile and comprehensive. It can be downloaded onto all major devices; Windows/Android, iPhone and iPad. A good 3G or 4G signal will be required, when not on WiFi of course, in order to download the app.

A major part of our Netbet review is checking out the redeeming features of the sports app.iSoftBet software is responsible for keeping the app’s engine running and it produces a very efficient platform.

The animations are smooth; the app is slick and fast and unlike some of the arguably larger apps takes away any gaming frustration, especially when needing to place a bet quickly in a live in-play situation. A couple of positives are:

In-Play Betting

The front page of the Netbet app shows events that are ‘live now’, with a separate tab for ‘upcoming’ and another for ‘highlights’, showing major events. Markets are prioritised by the popularity of the sport, with football being right at the top but others easily searchable.

Fast, Responsive User Interface

The Netbet app has a strong range of markets, especially on football, and its usefulness is highlighted by the extremely quick and smart interface. Opening up the app, tapping on the desired market and placing a bet take a matter of seconds. The speed of the app is a major positive in the Netbet app review overall.

Live Betting and Streaming: 3/5

Our Netbet review has thrown up the same negative as with a lot of betting sites outside of the big boys – the lack of live streaming. We have become accustomed to it now and in many cases are reliant on it to make an informed decision about a live bet. That said, live in-play markets on Netbet are plentiful.

A cash-out function is now available on all platforms and is a good step in turning the service into a fully comprehensive one. As soon as streaming is introduced, there will be little needed in the way of improvement to Netbet’s live offering.

Payment Options: 3/5

Payment methodMinimum depositTransaction feeProcessing time

Giro Pay£10£0Instant
Bank Wire£10£0Instant

The payment options, while wide and varied, are not perfect on Netbet. Withdrawals via the main site take 2-4 days via bank transfers and eWallets, though the most popular debit cards take 4-8 days which is very slow. The banking options aren’t bad overall, but the slow withdrawals do put a slight dampener on the Netbet review overall.

Customer service: 3/5

Netbet’s Live Chat platform is open from 0800 to 2300 CET to discuss your Netbet promo code, deposits, withdrawals or anything else you need help with, though an email form is also available to fill in.

Telephone lines are only open from 1200 to 2000 CET on 0044 203 608 6024. The manor of replies is generally good, though in the world of 24-hour betting there really should be 24-hour customer service to go with it.

What we did find in the Netbet review is that the customer service representatives are good, if not always available when you want them when betting on world events at ungodly hours.

Overall rating: 3/5

One of the main strengths we found in the Netbet review is the sports selection to choose from, especially football. Netbet’s live betting offering is OK, though the lack of streaming is a negative.

The bonus schemes are decent and becoming more varied, and the choice of three apps to download is positive.
