Ed Woodward, Manchester United’s CEO, the man responsible for the club’s signings, granted Jose Mourinho another one of his wishes. Nemanja Matic was signed from Chelsea for £40million, and the Serbia international had every reason to be thrilled after his official presentation.
I feel great. Manchester is one of the biggest clubs in the world and I’m very happy because I’m now part of this great club, this great group
Matic told MUTV, before revealing how easy it was for him to accept United’s offer.
My wish was to train with Jose and of course when you have a coach like him and a club like Manchester, you don’t need to think a lot. My decision was very easy. He’s a great coach. When I worked with him before, he always took the best from me and I improved a lot with him
the former Chelsea player said. This is the second time Mourinho signs him, after adding him to Chelsea’s roster in 2014.
When the coach wants you to come to the club, it gives you more motivation, more possibility and I will for sure give my best to show that I deserve to be at this club and part of the group
Matic told his new club’s TV channel.
