After 24 hours of uncertainty following reports that a deal had been reached, but with none of the sides confirming it, and a night of… utter confusion as Chelsea were reported to have matched United’s bid, the Old Trafford club announced officially that they have reached a deal with Everton for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku.

MUFC is delighted to announce a fee has been agreed with Everton for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, subject to a medical & personal terms
the club announced through their Twitter account, ending weeks -if not months- of speculation.
According to reports, the fee has been set at £75 million, while it’s still unclear how much the Belgium international himself will be making per week.
Lukaku is already in Los Angeles, has spent several days there hanging out and training with future teammate Paul Pogba, and that’s where he will have his medical, since United are flying there this weekend to start their preseason.
The 24-year-old striker is going to reunite with Jose Mourinho, the man who found him not good enough to play for Chelsea before the Belgian was sent on loan to Everton, and then, a year later, sold in a proper transfer.
