“False”. This is the word the young Frenchman used is a very short tweet, commenting on the persisting rumors that he has asked Manchester United to let him go.
“The rumors are false”, that’s all Anthony Martial wrote, hoping, apparently, to put an end to speculation showing him being one step away from the Old Trafford exit.

The 21-year-old joined United in 2015, had an impressive debut season under Louis van Gaal, but things were very different this last season, with Jose Mourinho repeatedly showing his displeasure, criticizing Martial even in public.
According to reports, Mourinho has told Martial that if he wants to leave, he won’t stand in his way, while earlier in the season he publicly said that the young Frenchman has a bright future at United as long as he ‘gives him what he wants’, meaning that Martial needs to evolve his game, so as to contribute to the team what his manager is asking for.
The former Monaco player has two more years on his contract at Man United, which means that this coming season he will have to prove himself for good, or else next summer, with just one year left on his contract, his agent will have to find him a new team.
