Liverpool were held to a dramatic 3-3 draw at Watford, the hosts equalised in the fourth minute of added time thanks to a Miguel Britos goal from an offside position, and Jurgen Klopp was obviously not happy about that.
It was an away game as the first game against a physically really strong side. We started with not enough direction but did much better in the second half
the German manager started telling Sky Sports right after the game.
We came here to win and I think that would have been deserved. Watford had their moments but pretty much around set-pieces. The first was good, the second unlucky but the third goal was offside
Klopp said, having seen his team concede three times, and trail in the score twice, 1-0 and 2-1, before a Roberto Firmino penalty and a Mohamed Salah goal (the Egyptian had also won the penalty earlier) put Liverpool in the lead.
I was not too happy with the positioning when we were 3-2 [up], we were a little bit too deep and it means the long balls in behind, if you lose it, it’s directly a chance. But if you concede offside goals, you can’t defend them
the Liverpool manager added.
