It’s not uncommon to see Real Madrid players react to a Barcelona result, but Isco is not usually among those who take to the social media to express their feelings in such cases.
Yesterday was an exception, since it was Malaga who beat Barcelona, Isco’s former team.
“What balls, Malaga! Congatulations”, the Real Madrid midfielder posted on Twitter, using the Spanish word for ‘eggs’, which is also used in case someone wants to talk about… ‘guts’, or determination.
Isco added a couple of kisses, knowing that Malaga made Real Madrid a huge -indirect- favour. ‘Los Blancos’ had only earned a point a couple of hours earlier against Atletico Madrid, and a Barcelona win would have given the Blaugrana advantage in the title race.
Isco is an Andalucia native, but he made his professional debut as a Valencia player. In 2011 he moved to Malaga, and after two impressive seasons there, Real Madrid made sure to sign him, with Carlo Ancelotti, their coach back then, insisting that he was a player with fantastic potential.
Isco surely didn’t fail the Italian coach. The Spain international is in discussions with Real Madrid to renew his contract, and has been called by Zinedine Zidane to agree terms with the club as soon as possible.
