It’s not unheard of, there have been players who signed a contract extension in April only to depart in June, but Lorenzo Insigne does not intend to join that… club.
The Italy international is reported to be one of Chelsea‘s targets, with the London club willing, according to reports, to spend up to £45m. Would that be enough to convince Napoli to sell one of their biggest stars?
I would start by saying the offer reported in The Sun would be low
Franco della Monica, Insigne’s agent, told an Italian radio station.
Either way, even if Chelsea were willing to spend bigger, Insigne would still stay at Napoli, at least that’s his desire, if we are to believe della Monica.
The priority for Lorenzo is to be wearing the Napoli shirt and to be rewarded in an important way by his team. Now he has both and he is happy as well
Insigne’s agent said, referring to the new lucrative contract he signed just a couple of months ago, which is supposed to keep him a Napoli player until at least the summer of 2022.
The 26-year-old scored a total of 18 goals in the Serie A this last season, and hasn’t hidden that his biggest dream is to win the scudetto with the Partenopei.
