It’s been said and written that Eden Hazard had all sorts of problems with Jose Mourinho the second season they worked together at Chelsea, but the Belgian star denies that, claiming exactly the opposite.
With Jose I had a super rapport. The year before, I was the Player of the Season and maybe he expected more from me. I was not so good and it was complicated
the Belgium international told TF1’s ‘Telefoot’.
Many people said I didn’t listen to Mourinho, but that’s not the case. It’s not at all the case, I’ve always had a lot of respect for him
Hazard also said, before getting asked to compare his former coach to the current one, Antonio Conte.
They have different methods. Conte works a great deal on tactics but Mourinho let it be. The two are different managers. They have always won, here and in the past
was Hazard’s rather diplomatic answer.
Chelsea remain at the top of the Premier League table despite their two recent losses to Crystal Palace and Manchester United. The gap between them and second-placed Tottenham has been cut to just four points, six game weeks before the end of the season.
