Fifteen game weeks have already passed in the Premier League, Arsenal have already given 15 matches. How much was Olivier Giroud involved in those? Hardly…
The French striker has played in 12 of those 15 games, but in all, he came on as a substitute, and his total is not bigger than just 234 minutes. He has started in all five Europa League group stage matches thus far, he has scored twice there, three times in the Premier League, but the Gunners’ striker has been ‘warned’ by France national team’s assistant coach that… this is not enough.
It’s clear that he’s not playing enough and Didier has already had the chance to talk about it
Guy Stephane, Didier Deschamps’ assistant, told TF1, not bringing the subject up for the first time, but definitely ‘reminding Giroud that… something has to be done.
He has to find a solution in the coming weeks. It’s up to him to see. He’s been very good in the last couple of months, he’s featured a lot and scored important goals, so now he has to play a lot
Stephane also said, practically… “advising” Giroud to consider, seriously consider, moving to another club, where he will be given the chance to play regularly, or else… his spot in France’s World Cup finals squad is anything but guaranteed.
