Having seen his team lose big in yet another UEFA Champions League first leg, Barcelona’s coach Luis Enrique found it hard to say what went wrong, and why such a ‘nightmare’ for his team was repeated that soon.
It was a difficult first half, very similar to the one in Paris, and the second was much better. If you gift the first half though, then obviously you’re going to have problems
the Spanish coach told Mediaset Premium. As for Barcelona’s chances to come back and perform a second straight football miracle;
It’s the second time this has happened. It’s hard to think of a comeback, but we’ll try to get back on our feet and put in a good performance in the second leg
a very cautious Enrique said, obviously knowing that miracles like the one against PSG a month ago don’t happen that often, especially against a team that will surely look less naive than what PSG looked at Camp Nou.
A coach does everything to help the team and prepare them, but evidently I did not. It’s not good to pick on single players after a defeat. It’s a defeat for the whole team, starting from myself
Enrique added, assuming the responsibility that corresponds to him personally for last night’s 3-0 defeat in Turin.
