For weeks now, Borussia had to deal with all sorts of rumors and reports linking a series of top European clubs with a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer.
A few days ago, sporting director Michael Zorc practically announced that the Gabon international will not be moving anywhere during this transfer period, since the ‘window’ they had opened for clubs to submit offers has closed.
Now, Dortmund have a different type of reports to… answer. According to Bild, there is an agreement with Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian for the player to move there the coming winter. Borussia didn’t let the report go unanswered.
There has been no contact with a club regarding Aubameyang, and no club has ever talked about a move in the winter
Dortmund tweeted, denying that they have agreed to sell their Gabonese striker for €70 million. According to the same Bild report, Aubameyang himself will sign a contract that will earn him no less than €20m per year.
As previously mentioned, Zorc told reporters a few days ago that the window for Auba has closed, but Dortmund coach Peter Bosz looked more… reserved in a Press conference, saying that he will only be sure Aubameyang is staying when September comes, and the player is still with the team.
