Turns out, it wasn’t just wishful thinking… About two weeks ago, Brazilian right-back Dani Alves told reporters that he would love to play in England before his career is over. He’ll get his wish much sooner than that, reports suggest.
The Juventus ace is said to have met with the Turin club and told them that he wants to move to England this summer, and, more specifically, to Manchester City, where he will get to work again under former coach Pep Guardiola.
According to the same reports, Alves is not willing to rescind his contract, which he could do, so as to join City on a free transfer, he prefers things to be done in such a way that Juventus will make some money out of it, and always according to the same reports even City are ok with that, being willing to pay about 5 million euros to the Italian club.
Alves signed a two-year deal with Juventus last summer, but the contract is not binding over what has to do with the second season.
As for how much he will be making at City, the reported weekly salary is £85,000. It will be almost 50% bigger than that at Juventus, but still smaller than his last salary at Barcelona.
