First, it was their League Cup final win back in November, over Aberdeen. Then, a couple of weeks ago, it was another one of their countless wins this season that secured them the Premier League title. Now, they have qualified to the FA Cup final, and they have every reason to hope that the end of the season will find them having completed the Treble.
Celtic beat Rangers 2-0 at Hampden Park’s semifinal thanks to goals by Callum McGregor and Scott Sinclair early in both halves. Brendan Rodgers’s side seemed to control the game excluding small gaps, and rightfully earned the right to compete for another title, in yet another final against Aberdeen.
We want to win every title possible, we want to win every game possible, we want to finish the season unbeaten, and we want to satisfy our fans with the way we play in every single game
Rodgers said after the final whistle at Hampden Park. His Celtic remain unbeaten in all domestic competitions this season, and if they manage to go all the way without a defeat it will be the first time they will have done so in 16 years, and only fourth in their 129 year history.
