It’s actually happening… What looked like… scientific fiction a few weeks ago, Paris Saint-Germain paying the €222 million buyout clause in Neymar’s Barcelona contract, is actually happening.
Neymar Jr hasn’t trained on Wednesday with the permission of the coach
the Catalan club announced earlier today, after the Brazilian star went to training, but left soon after that.
According to ESPN, a club spokesperson confirmed that Neymar told his goodbyes to his Barcelona teammates and coach, Ernesto Valverde, who had already given him permission to skip training, under the circumstances.
Neymar is expected to fly to Paris later today, and have his medical during the weekend.
According to reports, he is going to sign a multi-year contract that will earn him €30 million per season. Plus, his father and owner of the company that works as his agency, will make a massive €40 million, in what is the biggest ever commission paid for a transfer.
Then again, this is the most expensive transfer in the history of the game, taking spending in football to a whole new stratospheric level…
It remains to be seen what Barcelona will be able to do with the €222 million of Neymar’s departure, whom they will be able to sign, having already received some resounding ‘no’ answers, with Liverpool’s for Philippe Coutinho being one of those.
