No one from any of the two clubs has gone officially on record to verify it, but off the record, both Arsenal and Manchester City people have admitted that over the weekend they finally started discussing a potential deal regarding Alexis Sanchez.
According to various media outlets who claim to have gotten off the record confirmations from both sides, the scenarios at the moment are various. Arsenal are reported to have asked for Raheem Sterling, even though it’s highly unlikely both City and the player himself will accept such a switch.
Fabian Delph has been offered from City to Arsenal, but at this point, what looks more probable than anything else is City to pay up, not give any player to Arsenal, and let the Gunners invest the money on someone else instead.
According to the same reports, the Chile international has agreed personal terms with City for at least two months now, having previously told his Chile teammates that he had made his mind up, he wanted and still wants to reunite with Pep Guardiola, with whom he worked at Barcelona.
Sanchez is in his homeland these days, preparing for two crucial World Cup qualifiers, as the transfer window is drawing to a close, this Thursday.
