Just before leaving on a much-deserved vacation, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri talked to Sky Sport Italia, and didn’t have a problem to pronounce the names of the players he hopes to have at the team once his vacation is over.
Douglas Costa is one of our objectives, he’s a very good player. Schick has not arrived yet, but he does things that are out of the ordinary
the Italian coach said, talking about Bayern’s Brazilian winger, and Sampdoria’s Patrik Schick, a 21-year-old center-forward from the Czech Republic who impressed this last season in the Serie A.
Asked about Wojciech Szczesny, who spent the season on loan at Roma and is supposed to return to Arsenal, Allegri said “it’s not done”, avoiding giving details.
He did reveal one player he is not interested in, though, saying
N’Zonzi is not a player I have asked for
referring to Sevilla’s french defensive midfielder.
All in all, the Juventus coach looked hopeful that his squad will be even stronger next year, even though he admitted that it’s not easy, mostly because the players already playing for Juve are top, and finding even better ones is not that simple.
I know that when I get back, Juve will have signed players who improve the squad, but that’s not easy because we’ve reached such a high level now that there are only a few players around who fit the bill. To move on, you need to find players who complete the areas where we are most lacking
