A lot of tifo is about fans going wild; setting-off flares, and generally creating as much of a riot of colour and noise as possible. Doing this intimidates the opposition and drives on the ultras’ team. It’s all part of what is considered ultras culture.

Turkish stadiums are often turned into wild spectacles, as we’ve featured before, but this video takes the proverbial biscuit. I’m not sure when it happened, but if anyone knows more, leave a comment and let us know.
We’ve been highly remiss here at Pitch Invasion in not posting any tifo videos for a while. So let’s gorge for a few days. I’m going to try and avoid the very biggest teams, and so we start with FC Zürich versus FC Lurzen, in a 2005 cup final.

The videos that ultra groups put up on youtube seem to be recruitment drive vehicles these days, so smoothly are they put together. And they’re always accompanied by some bloody terrible techno music.
