I fear that it would take a scandal of at least this magnitude for FIFA to look at reform seriously, and question whether even that would be enough given the other abuses you have been chronicling lately.

At least the Lampard non-goal has brought Valcke to declare that this will be the last World Cup played with the current refereeing system.</description>
