3) Frankly we felt the choice was a trust that wasn’t working (with administration iminent), or mystery Munto ……..

Exactly right, many Notts fans weren't given the necessary information on the takeover and were then expected to vote as Trust members. This lack of information and the soundbites from the Chairman of the trust lead to many making decisions with their hearts and not their heads.

I'd like to quote some of these soundbites again:

'Munto’s guarantee was “cast iron” and they were “the most honourable people I have ever met.”

It's hardly suprising the trust members made the decisions they made. The due dilligence from the Trust board should have been far better than it was, they should admit to their failings in this sad scenario instead of attempting to divert all the blame to Munto.

Good summary of how we got in this mess.

The only points I would make is that:

1) Before the take over, the trust was in turmoil, with members being kicked off or resigning from the board when they asked simple questions about the state of finances and felt they were not getting answers (under the Trust regime run by Armstrong-Holmes). Many people feared we were heading for a return to administration (the tax bill mentioned above surely came from that era ... that much debt could not have been accumilated since Munto took over).

2) People did ask the right questions about Munto because it looked too good to be true, but we were refused an answer, and couldn't find one in the public domain. Armstrong-Holmes said it was a solid deal because he'd looked into it, and Trembling said "just trust us".

3) Frankly we felt the choice was a trust that wasn't working (with administration iminent), or mystery Munto ........
