  1. Was it raining or just really really sunny? The Monumental has no roof, so I wouldn’t be surprised….

  2. I actually seriously think, because of the colours and positioning, that the umbrellas were an intentional part of the tifo display and not just because of a weather condition….

  3. Erm, umbrellas are a new and popular form of tifo in South America, made famous (and by that I mean I first noticed them being used) by Boca supporters.

    I first noticed this when Boca was last in the Club World Cup (in Japan). I think it’s a very positive development in the world of active support to emerge from South America as we only usually hear negatives from that part of the world.
