Yea those January games in Montreal will be a treat. I’m sure Montrealers will forget about the Habs midseason and come out in the -22 degree weather to watch the Impact.

I know you realize this, but I think it’s worth underscoring. It’s not correct to call the TOA “a strong group of teams”, when three of them (Atlanta, St. Louis & Tampa Bay) don’t have teams, at this point. Not even in name. It’s more than just splitting hairs on what they’re called, I think. They may be “owners”, and they may all three be ready to hop to it and establish or announce their teams. But it doesn’t work that fast, not overnight.

Or maybe that potential breakaway league, if it’s created, will just be the most lopsided thing you ever saw. “Hey everyone, come watch Montreal, Vancouver & Carolina totally stomp 3 brand new teams in a brand new league!”

Sepp is clueless. He assumes a lot about USA sports, yet doesn’t recognize that it really is different here. Somehow, we’re going to bend to FIFA and W Europe scheduling.

A real leader would exploit the differences to their advantage. For example, maybe there’s a way to use MLS as a dev league for EPL in some manner. Give their benches a place to play in the off-season.

Instead, he wants boredom in the summer, one of our greatest resources. Sepp = FAIL.
