The current stadium (Stade de Gerland) would be used by the local rugby team, the LOU Rugby.
Actually, things are getting more and more complicated for the Grand Stade (which is named “OL Land” before a brand naming). It was first supposed to be built in 2011. Today they say it’s gonna be finished in 2014, but like I said things are getting more and more complicated. The main problem is transport. In this project, the 60,000 people would get to the stadium with one only tramway line and by cars. So currently in Lyon, we got to think that Grand Stade will never be built…

Tom, you’re scaring me! Is the last rendering official??? It surely doesn’t fit both to the concept of the stadium previously released and the quality of other renderings.

hmmm, i like it. what you call cold and bland i call clean and slick. my question is, what’s going to happen to the old stadium? if it was renovated in ’98, i would assume it’s in rather good condition…
