FFE, if this is true, this is indeed a great loss. Not only for Maria who i know counted on that commission, but for the Fire as i'm sure many of her contacts were buying Fire tickets simply, because she was the one asking for the sale. i'm very sorry to hear that.

It's practically a crime but Maria Gabino's no longer given compensation for her sales work. Years of contacts and connections flushed down the toilet.

This Wilt guy seems to know what he is talking about. As a matter of fact, the soccer team I pull for (Chicago Fire) could use someone like that.............err, oh wait, never mind. If only Andrew Hauptmann knew what he is missing. What a debacle that front office has become. Klopas seems to be the only guy in the organization who knows anything.

What a shame.

"Create a culture of transparency, trust, empowerment and sense of ownership with honest and open communication"

I found out today that the Fire deleted their "Chicago Fire Season Ticket Holders" group on facebook because apparently people were posting complaints in response to the 2010 Fuel the Fire Season Ticket Holder renewals.

Have you ever seen something so crazy?

Can you think of 1 single reason why the Fire doesn't have someone representing them on BigSoccer who can respond to fan questions/problems, or at least give the *reason* behind why some problems with the Fire experience seem to never get better (food service for the club seats, concession lines, problems with getting out of the stadium etc).

Great article BTW
