The situation at Portsmouth is particularly interesting. Their cheif executive said today that they nearly went into administration a couple of times, despite having the foreign owners / shareholders. They have had to lose a lot of their star names (Defoe, Crouch, Johnson to name a few) and have basically had to start again.

Sulaiman Al Fahim probably won't have expected such a dramatic financial situation when he became involved with the club and it will be interesting to see where they take it from here.

To think they won the FA Cup not so long ago - how far downhill have they gone since then?!
