Their cheif executive said today that they nearly went into administration a couple of times, despite having the foreign owners / shareholders. They have had to lose a lot of their star names (Defoe, Crouch, Johnson to name a few) and have basically had to start again. Sulaiman Al Fahim probably won't have expected such a dramatic financial situation when he became involved with the club and it will be interesting to see where they take it from here.
