Being in New York and seeing the Cosmos play over 25 years ago I believe it is a great move to bring a Soccer (REAL football) team back to the city. The name “Cosmos ” alone is well known throughtout the football world. Paul Kemsley did the best thing taking the name from Peppe who had it sitting dormant for all these years. The name itself will sell out crowds if they bring the team to a place like Queens. It would be a guaranteed sellout season year after year. I cannot wait to see this come to be for I am preparing to buy my tickets already. Now make this happen Paul! You have bought Gold! Bulit the stadium and WE will come.

Cosmos 2013! World Cup 2018! REAL Football will take over NEW YORK CITY!

I do not see the Cosmos’ having any success unless they recruit heavily from other nations and are willing to pay a premium for the premium players. In short, this venture is destined to fail.

Ok, it’s Ringling Brothers. However, what if this team ends up selling out games in Rio, London, Moscow, Berlin, Milan, Sydney, and Tokyo ?

Is this a way to get the Cosmos into MLS by an attempt to harness the power of globalization ?

Is the world ready for a team named the Cosmos to be the Harlem Globetrotters of the soccer world. Maybe he can buy RBNY to play the part of the Washington Generals.
