When going to France, I don’t expect to be spoken to in Afrikaans. When going to Germany, I don’t insist on being served Biltong. Yet, South Africa is going out on a limb to make you feel welcome by learning to speak Spanish and German and even importing water. But all you do is complain. Ofcourse the grass surrounding the Royal Bafokeng Sports palace isn’t green. It’s a Savanah for goodness sake (or maybe it’s because we might have less crap than you do) If the grass were green, our lions would have been too, or does our mascot confuse you a bit?

It’s one month untill kick-off. Our stadiums are finished, like promised. Our transport systems have been upgraded, to accomodate you to the expense of me and my fellow SA taxpayers. Come next month, like it or not, you WILL be welcomed by that “irritating buzzing sound”. So I dare you pessimists: BRING IT!!

I don't think IQ and the love of noisemakers have any correlation. I have always wondered what the name of that wooden noisemaker is called. I still think the Foghorn is tops. Here in Tom's River New Jersey we still rely on the classic.

i attended holland, denmark game, the holland supporters had more vuvuzelas than us africans and wow, they can blow it. watch the tv and see how many foreigners are enjoying the vuvuzela,it is only few that did not even go to the stadiums making noise. go and enjoy the sound of vuvuzela. ask americans, germans, dutch and even englands defender Jamie carragher who bought two for his kids. stop complaining and do what africans do best.BLOWING VUVUZELA

I think thats the challenge how football player to stay focus on the game. Champions assess the self-challenge FIRST AND FOREMOST and only after this is complete do they assess the game-challenge.

El Show del mundial 2010 no es mas que otro ritual satanico, desde el concierto de inaguracion fue evidente observar el ritual, aparte del logotipo que es el la cabeza de horus, por otro lado la inaguracion en si.

[...] What’s piqued my interest in the World Cup is not only the kick-ass knitting patterns people are coming up with, but this deafening horn that everyone’s complaining about … the Vuvuzela. Since the World Cup is in South Africa this year, I thought that the vuvuzela was something that was rooted deep in African tribal history, or perhaps had some magical power to summon good spirits. In fact, it has its roots in the kudu horn,, but only showed up in the stands of South African soccer in 1992. [...]

Hey people,

The vuvuzela is indigenous to the people of South Africa's culture and has been used for quite some time in the sport of futbol. Some of your responses on banning the vuvuzela is quite typical of Westnerners narrow mindedness and culturally inept ability to quickly eliminate or disrespect anything culturally unfamiliar. Lets try to be big boys and girls and open your minds and experiences to appreciation the vuvuzela as an instrument to inspire and cheer in the celebration of the World Cup. Hey, maybe when the World Cup is chosen to be played in the middle of Indiana, USA we can sing the Blue Grass chants. Then lets see how many folk would petition to ban the o'banjo and harmonica then? Hmmm....

Peace,
L.M.
