Well, it might piss off Buzz Bissinger, but I’m going to link to some of those crazy things called blogs again.

  1. Thanks for the love TD! Did you see the youtube of Taka’s strike against the p*ssants to the north? World class. Lovin’ the site, as always. RCTID!

  2. Not too shabby, Cap Ap, not too shabby at all. How’s life without Timber Jim, though?

  3. A little weird not seein’ Jim down in front of us, but I don’t think it’s really sunk in that he’s not just taking a little break (being that we’ve only had two matches since the retirement). The club will be having tryouts for three (I think) trialists to give it a shot and see how it works. I’m not sure how they’ll end up deciding which one to pick. The first one, Joey, has been a lot of fun…good attitude, seems like he’s really into it; he’s going to be going on the Sh*ttle Away (Love It!) trip so that will be a good time to see what he’s made of. The trialists aren’t trying to be TJ, the only piece of routine they keep is the sawing of the logs for goals (and the ‘We are the Timbers’ cheer, so far)…so it’s going to be up to them to put their own stamp on the job. Of course, TJ isn’t really gone…just not an official mascot anymore. All I have to do is look over my right shoulder to see him singing away in the North End. All is right with the world.

When you going to make it out here for a match, TD? Maybe when the Timbers spank the Fire in the US Open Cup? SC8 on one side and the TA on the other? T’would be classic!
