The Championship

With the Premier League championship all but wrapped up for Manchester United, those looking for a good scrap for the title in England need only cast their eyes one division lower at the Championship. Only twelve points separate the twelve teams seeking the three promotion spots to the Premier League.

Bill from Bill’s Sports Maps has once again created a beautiful map illustrating the geography of the Championship, along with the kits of the teams and historical information.

Click on the image below to view the glorious full-sized version and clue yourself up to the teams in the race.

  1. Pretty indeed, although obsolete after promotion/relegation. I’m really hoping Palace inches back up this year…and next year it would be nice to finally have QPR back in the top flight.

  2. Too bad these games aren’t televised. There’s a few Yanks on those squads.

  3. I think the map is fantastic. The other maps on Bill’s sportsmap site are equally spectacular.
Well worth a look. So the division right enough.

  4. Best the division race has been for quite some time. Being a Wolves Fan, and after yesterdays result, I think that this weekend is going to be huge for the teams fighting for the non-automatic spots. We’ll find a way to choke it off, but C’mon Wolves!

The map is as great as the rest he has done, it is nice to find people like him that take time out to appease soccer geeks out there, but well done!

  5. There’s a mistake on the map. It states that Palace’s last season in the top flight was 2005-06, when it was actually 2004-05. Superb work otherwise, though!

  6. Wow, what a phenomenal map, you know that took some time to put together.

  7. No Not its very premier league matches is very interested.
