interesting article. Fc United of Manchester were not set up as an anti MUFC project. nearly every one of us is a time served red and still bleed MUFC. it breaks our hearts to see how the game has changed.
There are 101 reasons for the formation of Fc United, the glazers being the final straw. The Stretford given to families and corporates, was the heart and soul of the ground. Scoreboard, K stand ripped apart to put in a disabled section , which could have gone in South stand (same access). both resulting in decrease i atmos. bit like you losing the kop.

kick offs changed to nearly any time or anyday except 3pm on a saturday afternoon.

no standing and singing without running the risk of ejection and st taken away.

no pay on gate for local youngsters, preventing new generations from going with their mates.

the words football club removed and replaced with brand or tm.

the glazers come, saddle the club with £600mill of debts it never had, and the fans fleeced to pay it back. Ie 40% increase in ticket prices in 3 years with another 15% to follow in may.

automatic cup schemes that supporters had to agree to buy their season ticket. Eg lyon is £5 a ticket more (why?)

players earning £100,000 + a week and ordinary families cant afford to go anymore.

supporters clubs no longer recieve away allocations. everyone has to apply on a premium rate phone line and pay 3% handling fee if successful.

many more.
we all love Manchester United Football Club, but not what its become. a tourist attraction with die hard fans squeezed out.
