I'm pretty sure that Jonathan de Guzman grew up in Toronto and still considers it home (and I believe that the de Guzman family still lives here), but he joined Feyenoord's academy early. I'm guessing 8 years there (ages 12-20) had a bigger impact than 12 years (1-12) in Canada. Plus he was granted Dutch citizenship last year. He's the Canadian Rossi.
