Photo Daily | December 4 | Partizan Belgrade Celebrations

The Belgrade derby is not one to be taken lightly. Here are the Partizan fans at Red Star Belgrade’s stadium, colloquially known as the Marakana (after the more famous stadium in Brazil). Oh, and that’s a flying seat at the top of the image.

ha how funny, I was going to email Jon this week to suggest he contact you.. he is a mate of mine trying to build up a photography business, and his pictures are entirely suitable, nay ideal for this site. He takes commissions but also works independently photographing fans at all levels of football from the world cup to local non-league. And is a lovely man besides.
What an odd coincidence. His photos are outstanding — he has a whole set in Serbia that blew me away, and his terrace images are wonderfully composed too.
Agreed, it’s excellent to see Jon’s work here. He’s a fine photographer and deserves to be more widely known.
Though I am beginning to get the impression that world is very small indeed.
