A compromise that looks acceptable to both sides. I don&#039;t know the answer to your second question, though.

Except for one thing I don&#039;t understand, though.  If the big countries are getting to keep 4 spots, how is Platini going to hand out more spots to the smaller countries?  What&#039;s he going to do, add more spots in the group stages?

And another thing.  The other big UEFA vs G-14 row was the one over compensation for players lost on international duty.  I can&#039;t imagine the G-14 rolling over on that one as well.  Mightn&#039;t they retain some sort of organization just to deal with those kinds of issues?</description>
