		<description>When racist abuse based on skin colour was rampant, it would even happen when the team of the fans in question had black players on their side.

Glasgow Rangers fans would be singing all kinds of things through the nineties and even to the present day about Catholics, blissfully unaware of the irony of several players on their side being of Catholic persuasion.

Cusack&#039;s response above is simply pathetic.</description>

		<description>I really don&#039;t see how the abuse Mido was subjected to could be seen as not racist.  It&#039;s a shame, I&#039;d always assumed that such scenes had been stamped out of English football.</description>
