		<description>The "pop culture" reference troubles me a bit, and I am very sceptical about successfully transfering Sabremetric techniques to soccer, but Beane does seem to care, which is a major part of the battle.  And it is important to note that the Athletics under Beane and the Wolffs have been among the most progressive and innovative teams in the major leagues in terms of the "fan experience", be it flexible pricing, food options, promotions or marketing.

And all that with a stadium that blows chunks.
