But it didn't look like a widespread phenomenon. Interestingly, the soccer store in my neighbourhood (90% Hispanic) has equal displays of U.S. and Mexico team gear on special display - I should go and ask him about his sales. I know you said that many Mexican fans were actually rooting against the US, but did you notice any who were rooting for the gringos? I was guessing the people I saw on camera were Mexican-Americans who support both teams (I'm still not sure that's possible, but...). You know, on TV I noticed several fans who looked like they would be cheering for Mexico in the second game, but had American flags for the first.
